SINGAPORE, 12 August 2026 – ESGpedia and the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) have entered into a strategic partnership to support businesses in measuring, managing, and verifying their carbon emissions.
Under the collaboration, SEC and ESGpedia will jointly promote ESGpedia’s carbon calculator platform and SEC’s carbon verification services, providing organisations with access to complementary solutions that support credible greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and reporting.
As sustainability reporting requirements continue to evolve, businesses face increasing expectations from customers, investors, regulators, and supply chain partners to accurately quantify and disclose their environmental impact.
Through this partnership, organisations will be able to leverage ESGpedia’s digital carbon accounting capabilities to calculate emissions data and SEC’s independent verification expertise to enhance the credibility and assurance of reported information.
The collaboration aims to provide businesses with a practical and accessible pathway towards more robust carbon management practices, helping them build confidence in their sustainability disclosures and support their broader decarbonisation efforts.
As part of the partnership, SEC will introduce ESGpedia’s carbon calculator platform to organisations seeking carbon accounting solutions, while ESGpedia will refer businesses requiring independent carbon verification services to SEC.
Beyond carbon management, both organisations will also explore opportunities to collaborate on broader sustainability initiatives, including areas related to sustainability certification such as Eco Spaces, and environmental standards. With the recent launch of the Technical Reference (TR) 149:2026, SEC and ESGpedia will look into expanding the partnership to include supporting Singapore businesses to achieve the various TR 149 levels (Essential, Bronze, Silver, Gold), so as to better meet the latest green procurement expectations from buyers and regulators.

Through the collaboration, Penguin was able to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and credibility of its emissions reporting process, providing greater confidence to internal and external stakeholders. The verified emissions data has also strengthened the company’s sustainability reporting capabilities and supported its broader decarbonisation strategy, including the attainment of a sustainability-linked loan from a local bank.
