“Supply chain is an integral part of Razer’s ecosystem and is key to materialising most of our sustainability targets. By leveraging ESGpedia’s digital platform, our suppliers have been able to calculate emissions and publish their first ever sustainability reports – marking a fundamental milestone in supply chain sustainability. This progress not only strengthens our sustainability and profitability targets but also enhances competitiveness for both Razer and our suppliers.”

Going Green with Razer
Razer is the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers. With 19 offices worldwide and over 200 million users, Razer has designed and built the world’s largest gamer-focused ecosystem of hardware, software and services.
Razer has embarked on its Supplier Enablement Programme in partnership with ESGpedia as the Solution Provider Partner, with the aim of advancing its sustainable procurement strategy. This move is in line with Razer’s sustainability movement, #GoGreenWithRazer1, and supports Razer in maintaining its global leadership role in sustainable technology.
Leveraging ESGpedia’s digital solutions on sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, and dashboard analytics, Razer has effectively streamlined its sustainable supply chain management, and achieved a comprehensive overview of its supply chain emissions for enhanced sustainability reporting and value chain decarbonisation, overall bolstering competitiveness and better meeting rising consumer demand for sustainability.
Leading a Greener ICT Industry
The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry’s environmental impact – from raw material extraction to energy-intensive usage – has placed the sector under mounting pressure to adopt sustainable practices.
Razer’s commitment towards green procurement and decarbonising its supply chain is in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, which mandates green procurement for the ICT sector starting from 20242. Globally, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has also set a target for the ICT industry to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 45% by 2030.
“Supplier Enablement is a key tenet in our strategy, which keeps us at the forefront of regulations and international reporting standards.”
– Kenneth Ng, Global Sustainability Lead at Razer
To stay ahead, Razer is leading the way through its Supplier Enablement Programme with ESGpedia, driving sustainable procurement and setting new benchmarks for the ICT industry to accelerate global climate targets.
Razer’s Queen Bee Supplier Enablement Programme
Razer and ESGpedia’s partnership began in 2022 with Restorify, an e-commerce service with traceable carbon neutral checkout. The partnership was a first-of-its-kind, enhancing transparency with traceable high-quality carbon offsets on a public ledger.
Today, Razer’s partnership with ESGpedia has grown to include supply chain sustainability, to tackle key challenges faced by suppliers while enhancing Razer’s green procurement and value chain decarbonisation efforts.
“A fivefold increase in consumers offsetting their carbon footprint through Restorify was a signficant milestone for us. As ESGpedia was able to customise a solution to meet our unique global needs, Razer decided to embark on Supplier Enablement using the ESGpedia platform.”
– Kenneth Ng, Global Sustainability Lead at Razer
Navigating Challenges in Building Razer’s Sustainable Supply Chain
Given the extent of their global operations, collecting supplier data – including ESG-related data and metrics – proved challenging for Razer.
Suppliers, oftentimes small and medium enterprises (SMEs), lack the resources; Traditional tools like Excel were time-consuming and error-prone, with inconsistent data formats, units, and methodologies being used – making it difficult for Razer to draw effective comparisons and insights.
Differing reporting requirements across jurisdictions created additional complexity in ensuring compliance and accuracy of sustainability reporting efforts.
“Having a global presence means that we are subject to varying reporting requirements ranging from International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Standards to the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Doing all our reporting on spreadsheets is just unimaginable.”
– Kenneth Ng, Global Sustainability Lead at Razer
Many suppliers were also not intrinsically motivated to continue their sustainability action plans for lasting impact on their business operations.
Harmonising Supplier Data and Sustainability Reporting
To address suppliers’ challenges, Razer partnered with ESGpedia to launch its Supplier Enablement Programme to digitally enable its global supply chain towards sustainability.

Leveraging the ESGpedia platform, Razer was able to streamline data collection, monitoring, and analysis across its entire value chain on a central digital platform.
Razer’s suppliers, regardless of profiles and value chain tier, were able to utilise ESGpedia’s intuitive platform and step-by-step guidance to establish their environmental, social, and governance metrics and baseline emissions, and thereafter, seamlessly generate their first Sustainability Report – which has in turn availed a significant increase in opportunities for sustainable financing and actionable insights for long-term impact.
The enhanced data aggregation and insights from supplier inputs on ESGpedia’s dashboard analytics have also allowed Razer to be better informed about their decarbonisation strategy and take actions to improve operational efficiency.
“Having detailed disclosures and transparency from partners and suppliers is crucial to identifying the hot spots of emissions in our extensive supply chain. Through the Supplier Enablement Programme powered by ESGpedia, Razer as the Queen Bee has onboarded our suppliers to report their emissions, establish E, S, and G metrics to understand their emissions profiles – empowering us to better support them with relevant training as well to comply with Razer’s Responsible Sourcing Framework.”
– Kenneth Ng, Global Sustainability Lead at Razer

Through ESGpedia’s structured reporting workflow, Razer and its suppliers were able to confidently disclose in alignment with the relevant sustainability reporting frameworks across jurisdictions. This has been key in helping Razer seamlessly navigate and comply with the evolving global regulatory landscape.
“Razer has a global presence and is expected to comply with different jurisdictions’ reporting standards. Harmonising the different reporting standards on ESGpedia’s platform streamlined the process for us and our suppliers, ensuring accurate and credible sustainability reporting.”
– Kenneth Ng, Global Sustainability Lead at Razer

SGTech Sustainability Guided Programme (SGTech SGP) to Drive Long-term Sustainability Impact and Resolve Sustainability Challenges for Razer’s Singapore SME Suppliers
For the Supplier Enablement Programme, Razer adopted the SGTech Sustainability Guided Programme (SGP), of which ESGpedia is an official Solution Provider Partner, to enable their Singapore-based SME suppliers to overcome fundamental obstacles in their long-term sustainability transitions. The hands-on tailored guidance and step-by-step roadmap planning provided under the framework of the SGTech SGP by ESGpedia expertise and experience are twin strategic keys to digitally enable SME suppliers in Razer’s supply chain towards long-term green transition.
SMEs face a variety of challenges when it comes to sustainability – notably, the lack of resources, confusion, long waiting times for government grants, and the lack of immediate commercial outcomes to convince them to take further action.

The SGTech SGP framework leapfrogs local SMEs past these challenges and lands them into immediate commercially advantageous positions when bidding for tenders, staying on approved vendor lists, and applying for green financing – specifically delivered as customised professional ESG reports and sustainability transition plans.
To ensure maximum impact, SGTech partnered with ESGpedia, with its experience in serving more than 1,000 SMEs as well as being a Digital Solution Provider partner of the Singapore Emission Factors Registry, and a Pre-Approved Solution under the Productivity Solutions Grant, to help build Singapore SMEs’ capabilities in tracking their emissions and establishing their ESG metrics, and creating their transition plans, while keeping costs low. SMEs who have completed their SGTech SGP are reporting higher ability to qualify for tenders and becoming self-motivated to pursue further sustainability above compliance.
