ESG Business Development Associate
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic ESG Business Development Associate to help us develop and expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply effective business strategies.
The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. Your contribution and dedication to your role is thereby critical as you have a direct impact on the company business growth. You will also have the opportunity to work with our major clients and partners. Job Responsibilities
- APAC focused role. Manage the sales funnel from identifying and qualifying prospects, following up on leads and opportunities, pursuing and winning new deals, to achieve growth and revenue targets
- Present and articulate ESGpedia’s services and value proposition to clients
- Understand client’s needs and provide thorough advice about the markets, regulations, and sustainability journey
- Build up in-depth knowledge of the various countries, industries, client segments etc
- Establish a strong network within the client’s organization on various levels (Business, Technology, Management etc.). Identify and maintain good business relationships with the major decision-makers and influencers
- Negotiate contracts and legal agreements with clients
- Opportunity to lead new deal, Request for Proposal (“RFP”), project etc
- Undertake individual tasks of business strategy when assigned.
- Represent ESGpedia with top-level professionalism at business meetings, industry events and conferences.
- Travel is expected for business meetings and close sales
- Drive ESGpedia growth by over-achieving KPIs and milestones

- High work ethic and customer-centricity with a buoyant and amiable personality. Ability to manage multiple clients while exceeding client expectations
- Ability to maintain high volume of daily calls and meetings
- Positive attitude with a thirst to learn – proactive, unafraid of exploring and voicing out opinions, etc
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree preferably specializing in Business/Banking/Computer Science related disciplines with 1-3 year of relevant experience in business development, sales etc
- Passion in ESG is mandatory. Keen interest in ESG data, technology and familiarity with ESG or/and Sustainability developments would be highly preferred
- Fluent in English and native language with excellent oral communication skills enabling effective communication with clients
- Experience with using sales tools, technologies and system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Words and Excel
