Finance Executive (Remote – Johor, Malaysia)

This role primarily supports Singapore HQ financial reporting while overseeing statutory compliance matters for our Malaysia entity. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and contribute to accurate reporting, strong financial discipline, and efficient finance operations across entities.
This role provides valuable exposure to Singapore headquarters finance operations and cross-border financial reporting.
This is a remote role based in Johor, Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities
Singapore Financial Reporting (Primary Scope)
- Support monthly and year-end closing processes
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain AR/AP schedules and aging analysis
- Assist in preparing management reports and financial insights
- Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors
- Support intercompany reconciliation and group reporting
Malaysia Compliance & Payroll Administration
- Process monthly payroll
- Ensuring timely submission of statutory contributions including
- KWSP (EPF)
- SOCSO
- EIS
- PCB
- Maintaining payroll and statutory documentation
- Liaise with company secretary and tax agents where required
- Support compliance matters and preparation for potential future operational expansion in Malaysia
Finance Operations & Process Support
- Maintaining finance documentation and internal trackers
- Supporting improvements in finance workflows and controls
- Assist the Finance Manager in financial analysis reporting, and management reporting preparation
- Supporting cross-functional operational coordination when required
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience supporting month-end closing
- Experience handling Malaysia payroll and statutory submissions
- Familiarity with Singapore financial reporting processes preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reconciliation
- Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit schedules is preferred
- Experience with Xero is an advantage
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment
