Cloud Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a versatile Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure, support low-code application development, and contribute to the user experience side of product development. This role demands expertise in performance optimization, system architecture, compliance readiness, and user experience analytics to ensure operational excellence and reliability. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.), ensuring high availability and performance. 
  • System Architecture: Design and maintain robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework. 
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct performance testing, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies across applications and infrastructure. 
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js). 
  • Performance & Monitoring: Experience with tools like Jmeter, CloudWatch, New Relic, or Datadog for monitoring and performance tuning. 
  • Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ensure infrastructure meets compliance standards for audits, including logging, monitoring, and documentation for data access, security, and operational processes. 
  • Low-Code Development Support: Assist in deploying and integrating low-code applications. 
  • User Analytics & Product Insights: Set up and analyze user experience analytics using tools like Google Analytics or Clarity.
  • Backup & Retention Policies: Define and enforce robust data backup, retention, and disaster recovery strategies.  
  • Audit-Ready Practices: Maintain documentation for processes, policies, and configurations related to security, operational logs, resource provisioning, and incident management. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product, tech, DevOps and ops teams to align technical solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements. 
Requirements
  • B.S.  in Computer Science or equivalent degree in IT or experience 
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience working on the cloud 
  • Prior experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases 
  • Experience with AWS is a plus 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
